In the summer of 2023, I took a trip around Japan with a friend. I came back inspired to work on art, and this was one of the first things I chose to create. We went to several rural places on our trip, and saw many rice paddies with kei trucks driving on the thin roads through them.
This project was an exploration into stylized 3d animation and compositing. The foreground is 3d rendered, while the background and plants in the truck are created in 2d.
